Ms. Caffrey-Villari is a published author whose work has appeared in The New England Journal of Medicine, The British Medical Journal, and the Smithsonian Magazine; she is the first paramedic to become a lead author of a New England Journal of Medicine publication. She is a public speaker and a respected researcher in the enterprise-level public safety arena. Because of her accomplishments in the field of public safety, she has been featured on programs including NBC News, USA Today, Discovery Health, and has been solicited to speak before the U.S. Congress. She has received numerous awards for her accomplishments as an outstanding citizen and a social entrepreneur, including the Age of Technology - Computerworld Honors Laureate Award and the Outstanding Achievement in Reducing Death from Cardiac Arrest award from the American Heart Association.

As a Public Safety Educator, Paramedic, and 911 Dispatcher, Caffrey-Villari has trained thousands of Chicago’s policemen, fire fighters, Aviation Special Police, and 9-1-1 Emergency Communication employees. Mrs. Caffrey-Villari consults with international healthcare leaders from Singapore to Brazil to help bring public access defibrillation AED Programs to the masses.
